Tok - Speak

Using informal talanoa, Tabu Tok brings together people from all walks of life in the Pacific community in Aotearoa to share their experiences and thoughts on these issues.

Tabu Tok was created by two sisters Emmaline Pickering-Martin and Rae-Dawn Martin (Fiji) with help from Tina Tiller (Cook Is.).

Tabu Tok is run by an all Pacific team and is shot in The Wav Room creative space at Pacific Media Network.

Our Vision

For Pacific, By Pacific.

We will serve our Pacific communities by ensuring the team that works on Tabu Tok are all of Pacific heritage.

Safe Spaces.

We will ensure that our platform provides a safe space for open culturally relevant conversations free from discrimination of any kind.

Education.

We will provide a space for further education around topics that serve our Pacific peoples.
